The D&D Hoodie

 It is believed that the D&D hoodie was coined by its current name, which was trademarked by a clothing company based in hipsticulous Chicago, Illinois, which also gave the word its spelling, 'DND hoodie' as its more informal version. The word hoodie may have come from the word 'saw'.

Hoodies today, together with a lot of urban clothing and fashion, are one of the most popular types of personal expression and adornment both in the superstars world and with the general public when it comes to day to day life. What better way to display a social status than by donning a piece that, in their opinion, suits a person's character? In the popular movie The Kingdom Rain, focal characters Daisy and Johnny are in their iconic neauvertable bathrobes rent by none other than Will (arguably the best dressed guy in the film) and it has been suggested that D&D hoodies are worn as a fashion item rather than as bathrobes, but the bathrobes, in particular, are associated with the affirmation that upper-middle-class individuals will never wear such garment over their heads.

People use various methods of flaunting their lifestyles, tastes, preferences, and even sometimes their interests and their political affiliations in their articles of clothing. In the USA, for instance, most Americans call political dissidence as 'conservatism', and people that are fans of the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons have been spotted in shopping malls wearing D&D hoodies with emblems and designs of the game, such as those of the game’s art, characters and theme.

And yet, a sweater whose main characteristic is warmth and comfort is still a major demand in the marketplace, even in the realm of casual wear. Footwear that is designed to be worn outdoors is still a major part of the casual wear category. People love the aspect of comfort offered by a D&D hoodie, and several clothes designers have helped to create a market for hoodies in general, and D&D hoodies in particular. And yet, it is precisely because of this very comfort factor that has helped to create the demand for hoodies in the marketplace.

Take the massive amounts of online sales of D&D hoodies, garments, footwear, and accessories that reach the hands of stoic-faced shoppers across the globe, and you'll find a tiny yet highly profitable niche in the market for hoodies, and more specifically, D&D hoodies. The traditional hoodies that are used for sport will remain the most popular style, but they are backing up their stance, and moving up in quality at a much more rapid pace.

The D&D hoodies were originally within the novelty novelty market, and were originally sold in a set of three or four colours in a tube. Now there are twelve, for a price, available colours. The accompanying Rugby themed trinkets are an enhanced version of the standard Rugby print, but turnover alone spends a fair amount out of the average individual's price range.

The colour range may shock, but it is not as broad as many of the individual colours available. It is the print that appeals to the masses, and the colours are easily co-ordinated. It is also very easy to wash the garments, resulting often in less dirt showing- ensuring finish cleanliness, even if they have not been worn in open - conditions.

A certain humidity or temperature condition may indicate the seasons for which the D&D hoodies are suitable. There will be a season that the nights are a little chillier, a season that the sun has gone a bit brighter, and certainly, a season that they are just perfect for lounging about in. D&D hoodies have proven their worth over and over again, through physical activity and psychological activity. They are the one piece of clothing that remains fashionable regardless of what the season is.
